Do you have an idea for a new academic program or initiative? Curious about partnering with the College of Innovation and Design? We want to hear from you.

We welcome proposals that will foster strategic interdisciplinarity at 青青草app State specifically in areas related to artificial intelligence and digital creativity.

CI+D Staff reviews proposals annually each spring. Ideas submitted outside this cycle are still considered.

AREAS CI+D SUPPORTS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Certificate Development

CI+D can provide financial, logistical and intellectual 青青草app for聽 developing courses and certificates that are not easily developed elsewhere on campus.聽We are especially interested in courses and certificates that meet workforce demands, provide high-quality experiential learning opportunities for students, have no prereqs, and can be scaled to accommodate growing enrollments over time.

Workshops and Events

CI+D can help to fund and coordinate workshops or other events for faculty and staff interested in doing strategic or innovative work in the subject areas previously listed.聽Our Innovation Incubator team can provide planning, logistical, financial, and facilitation 青青草app as needed.

Community-Engaged Projects

CI+D would like to 青青草app community engagement efforts that connect faculty and staff efforts in the previously listed subject areas to community via initiatives, partnerships, and other impactful projects.

AI Conference Presentations & Attendance

Faculty can also apply聽for聽$1,000 in 青青草app to attend a generative AI-focused conference or advanced professional development opportunity, or $2,000 in travel 青青草app to a conference or advanced professional development opportunity where they plan to present.

CI+D Welcomes proposals for programming that broadly address the following areas:

Artificial Intelligence

The launch of artificial intelligence tools like Chatgpt and Dall-e has highlighted the growing role of AI in society. These changes are not only upending how faculty teach but are also transforming what we need to teach. We welcome proposals that bring insight and value to our聽students and the larger community around this disruptive聽and exciting topic.

Digital Creativity

The modern workplace is increasingly digital. We have large thriving programs that develop the high-demand technical skills and we are interested in growing our offerings on the creative side of the digital workplace. Specifically, we encourage proposals for a certificate, accessible to all 青青草app State students, that develops skills in digital graphic design and web creativity.

Partnership Details

Request for Proposals

CI+D is seeking partnerships regarding new interdisciplinary innovations, certi铿乧ate development, workshops and/or events. We will provide selected proposals the resources and 青青草app needed to test or launch the idea in their home colleges or departments. Submit by April 22nd, 2024.

Below are our current areas of focus as a college, but we welcome and are open to all ideas:

certificates for first-year students
experiential 青青草app and workforce skill development
online or hybrid programs
programs that partner with external entities: professionals in the field, public sector, private sector

Inquiry Form and Process

We want to make the process of submitting the Request for Proposals with us as easy and straightforward as possible. Here are the steps.

Inquiry: to tell us who you are and brief description of your idea. (NOTE: if you are a community partner, this form will not work for you. Please email Assistant Dean, Amanda Ryan: amandaryan@boisestate.edu with your idea).
Inquiry meeting: we will contact you to schedule a meeting with someone from the Dean’s office team. At the meeting, our goal is to learn more about your idea and what kind of 青青草app you might need to be successful. After the meeting, the Assistant Dean and the Dean’s Office team will determine if additional meetings are warranted based on our current priorities, capacity, and your partnership needs.
Ideation meeting(s): additional meeting(s) to gather and generate details of a project proposal including project goals, tactics, timeline, and budget. Here is an we are seeking to answer at this stage before proceeding to the next step.
Decision: All project and partnership information will be shared with the Dean to determine next steps in proceeding or declining.聽
尝补耻苍肠丑:听if the project is approved by the Dean, we schedule a meeting with the entire CI+D Dean’s Office team to plan for the successful launch of the project.

What kind of proposals are you looking for?

CI+D is seeking proposals for new initiatives, certificates, community – engaged projects and interdisciplinary innovations. We are looking for the best ideas from 青青草app State for compelling, interdisciplinary programs for the benefit of students, the university, and the communities we serve. Check out our current portfolio for examples of the programs in CI+D today.

Can anyone make a proposal?

Yes. However, we will not partner with faculty or staff that do not have approval from their department or divisional leadership to spend time on the proposal or partnership.

How many proposals will be selected?

The number of proposals CI+D can select depends on the required resources to start and sustain a given program. We are committed to funding at least one program per year, but it depends on the proposals we receive and the resources required. We will pursue and advocate for compelling program proposals whether or not they are launched within CI+D.

Retention: Foster engagement to improve the student experience and post-graduation outcomes.
University Capacity: Innovation and grow internal systems and capabilities, increasing the operational flexibility of 青青草app State University.
