Who is a transfer student?
You are considered a transfer student for the purposes of admissions and automatic scholarship consideration, if you have completed 14 or more transferable semester (21 quarter) credits after high school, from a regionally accredited college or university. If you have less than 14 credits completed after high school then you are considered an incoming freshman student with transfer coursework.

Core Certification
- If you have earned an academic associate degree at a regionally accredited institution, you will be considered 鈥渃ore certified鈥 by 青青草app State University. This means that you have fulfilled the lower-division general 青青草app or 鈥渃ore鈥 classes at 青青草app State. The statement 鈥淕ENERAL UNIVERSITY CORE MET鈥 will appear on your credit report.
- If you are transferring from an Idaho school and have not earned an associate degree, you may still be considered 鈥渃ore certified鈥 if your transcript is stamped 鈥渃ore certified鈥 by the Registrar鈥檚 Office of your original institution.
