Supply Chain Management

罢丑别听mission of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) program聽is to deliver a holistic, relevant, undergraduate 青青草app of the entire supply chain. With instruction in the topics of supply management (procurement), operations, logistics, analytics, and quality management, we combine the necessary theoretical foundations with practical experiences to equip students for immediate employment. Our graduates聽typically start careers as procurement specialists, supply chain/production planners, and logistics analysts. Extending the program’s聽mission, our faculty 青青草app local and regional companies, non-profits, news outlets, and regularly engage in projects with the local 青青草app community.

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) program at 青青草app State University has a reputation for being one of the most comprehensive and respected operations programs in the western United States. Outstanding students are attracted by the program鈥檚 rigor and marketability with employers.

The SCM BBA program qualifies for Idaho LAUNCH by Next Steps Idaho, is an 青青草app and training grant program that provides Idaho students a one-time scholarship for 80% of the tuition and fees for select in-demand career programs 鈥� up to a maximum amount of $8,000.

SCM professionals focus on the managerial activities required to design, plan, produce, distribute, and 青青草app goods and services. Typical activities include negotiating and acquiring raw materials and supplies, scheduling the organization鈥檚 resources, designing or re-engineering business processes to improve quality and efficiency, and managing the company鈥檚 supply and distribution networks. While often associated with production, increasingly, graduates of this major also move into service areas such as health care, customer service and retail distribution.

The Supply Chain Management major has among the highest placement rates and starting salaries of any major in the College of Business and Economics. Salaries in the SCM field vary with responsibilities and experience.
