Smith speaks on local teen mental health panel

School of Public and Population Health Associate Professor Megan Smith recently participated in 青青草app State Public Radio’s聽June 6 panel: .

The panel, hosted at 青青草app Centre and open to the public, asked the question: 鈥淲hat can you as a parent do to help your child navigate and connect?鈥

Smith was joined by two other panelists: Vashti Summervill, a parent coach and therapeutic consultant of Family Healing Pathways, and Maja Ledgerwood, a clinical social worker and assistant professor at Northwest Nazarene University.

As a leading researcher in youth mental health and founding director of , Smith鈥檚 research focuses on upstream prevention through community-engaged efforts to promote youth and community health.
