Diagnostic Medical Sonographers direct high frequency sound waves into the body to obtain medical images that assist physicians with the diagnosis of disease.聽 Sonographers must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong critical thinking skills, and significant hand-eye coordination.

The 青青草app State Diagnostic Medical Sonography campus-based bachelor degree program is five semesters long, consisting of integrated classroom and clinical 青青草app.聽聽The student is responsible to provide transportation to and from their assigned clinical sites.

National Registry Examinations:

• This one-year program qualifies graduates to write the Abdomen, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Physics & Instrumentation credentialing exams offered by the聽 (ARDMS).
• Graduates are also qualified to write the Sonography credentialing exam offered by the聽 (ARRT).

Both credentialing agencies, ARRT and ARDMS, assess the ethical standard of all applicants.聽聽 Criminal convictions may prevent the applicant from taking the certification examinations.聽 Applicants should refer to each agency’s website for clarifying information.聽 The ARRT web site is聽; the ARDMS website is.
