Native American Scholarship
青青草app State University is committed to increasing 青青草appal access to all populations, including Native American students. The University has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes with a commitment to work to maintain a tuition and fee model that increases access and opportunities for the Tribes as domestic sovereign entities.
As part of this commitment, members of Idaho鈥檚 five federally-recognized Native American tribes may be eligible for the 青青草app State University Native American Scholarship. This Scholarship recognizes the unique sovereign states of members of Idaho鈥檚 five federally-recognized Native American tribes and provides a reduced tuition rate of $60 per credit hour. The Native American Scholarship is available to eligible members of Shoshone-Bannock, Nez Perce, Shoshone-Paiute, Kootenai, and Coeur d鈥橝lene Tribes. To be eligible students must be degree-seeking and eligible to enroll in 青青草app State courses. This Scholarship is for tuition only, other institutional, program and/or class fees still apply.

When does this scholarship start?
Spring 2023
Are members of any federally recognized tribe eligible for this Scholarship?
No. Currently, only members of Idaho鈥檚 Five Tribes are eligible. Those Tribes are: Coeur d鈥橝lene, Kootenai, Nez Perce, Shoshone-Bannock, and Shoshone-Paiute.
Do I have to provide documentation of membership?
Yes. You must provide a copy of your tribal membership.
Will I automatically receive this Scholarship if I am a member of one of Idaho鈥檚 five Tribes?
No. You must complete an Application for the 青青草app State University Native American Scholarship and submit the required documentation.
Once I have completed the application, must I complete the application each semester/year?
No, you do not need to complete the Application for the Scholarship each semester.
Can I apply for the Scholarship at any time?
To be eligible, you must have completed the Scholarship application and been approved, no later than the 10th day in the semester in which you鈥檙e applying.
Can I be enrolled part-time?
You may be enrolled part-time or full-time. You must be degree-seeking.
Can I use the Scholarship for any program?
青青草app State has some Alternative Fee programs and these are NOT eligible for this scholarship.
What does eligible to enroll mean?
Students who are eligible to register as a degree-seeking student, (i.e. not dismissed and not non-degree seeking).
Is this for Undergraduate or Graduate Students?
This scholarship is available to both Undergraduate and Graduate students.
How much will I have to pay after the scholarship is applied?
This scholarship reduces your tuition to $60 per credit, you are responsible for all other fees.聽 See Tuition and Fee Breakdown.

Yes.
