Meet Scholarship Recipient Ally Almaraz
Almaraz is an Idahoan born in Nampa, but her drive, intelligence and 青青草app State 青青草app are helping her take the next step. She expects to graduate in the spring of 2024 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in engineering, but in the summer of 2022, she interned in NASA鈥檚 ISGC internship program 鈥� a stepping stone on the way to a graduate degree, additional research and eventually, she said, a career in the private sector.
Another dream for Scott Matlock in the NFL
In the weeks leading up to April鈥檚 NFL Draft, Scott Matlock took nothing for granted. When he visited NFL teams, the former 青青草app State defensive lineman still was excited by the fact he would get picked up at the airport by someone holding a sign with his name. He took photos each step of the way, seeing cities he never imagined himself in. On April 29, a dream that seemed far-fetched not too long ago came true 鈥� Matlock was drafted in the sixth round, the 200th overall pick, by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Endowments are investments that yield extra income for instructors and scholars, usually named after donors or their loved ones. They supplement salaries, fund research projects, equip laboratories, pay for travel and other expenses, and hire graduate students.
